Job Description
We are looking for a positive, highly motivated and energetic engineer that can thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment. The successful candidate shall have a strong software product engineering background and will be able to design, develop, and sustain high quality embedded software for AKA’s full line of embedded systems. Strong communication skills are a must as this position will work closely with other software and hardware engineers at the same and remote locations including Israel and India. You will need to apply problem solving skills in various technical areas.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Board Support Packages (BSP) for various AKA platforms.
• Develop and debug drivers & applications for AKA modules.
• Develop and maintain diagnostics/testing software for the manufacturing team.
• Assist hardware team with new platforms bring up.
• Help Application Field Engineers in resolving customer issues.

Skills and Experience

Years of Industry Experience Required:

• 1+ years of relevant experience (Embedded SW Development in Real-Time Multitasking OS Environment).

• BS Degree (EE, CS, Math) or equivalent.
• Developing Drivers in Real-Time Multitasking OS Environment.
• C software development.
• Unix shell script.

• Linux driver and application development.
• GNU building environment: make, scripting, etc...
• Experience with Open Source community is a big advantage.
• Embedded software debug techniques.
• IP Network Protocol.
• Good written and verbal communication skills required.
• Graphics Drivers experience is an advantage.
• MPEG Audio, Video and Transport is an advantage.
• VxWorks, WinCE, QNX experience is an advantage.
• Xilinx and Altera FPGA design experience is a strong advantage.
