Job Description
AKA is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven program manager to manage product releases on aggressive schedules with a very high level of quality.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

• Manage large engineering programs from concept to delivery.
• Lead cross-functional project team in the development of program plan.
• Understand the deliverables of all functional areas.
• Translate work items, dependencies and information about available resources into an integrated project schedule.
• Assess risks and develop contingency plans.
• Monitor progress in all cross-functional areas according to milestones and schedules.
• Work proactively to anticipate and resolve project issues and escalate when appropriate.
• Champion process improvements in the program management and product development areas.
• Limited amount of travel may be required

Skills and Experience

• B.S. or higher degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Strong background in the embedded product development process.
• Working knowledge of project management tools.
• Successful record of on-time product delivery.
• Excellent leadership, management, communication, influencing, team building and problem solving skills.
• Strong initiative.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to interact with senior management.
• Working knowledge of product team based programs.
• Background in both embedded hardware and software release and/or test processes.
