Guy Marom, President
Guy joined AKA as President in 2004. He was previously the Program Technical Lead at Terayon Communications. He has extensive experience in the definition and design of complex Hardware and Software systems for the Communications Market. Guy holds a BSEE from San Francisco State University.

Shoshana Mor, CFO
Shoshana joined AKA in 2006 as the Chief Financial Officer. She has expertise in Corporate Tax, Audit, Business Strategy, Operations, Financial Management, Funding and Revenue Growth, in the Computer and Semiconductor industries. Shoshana holds a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois, a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from LaSalle University in Chicago, and an Executive MBA from Tel-Aviv University in Israel.

Moty Licht, Vice President of Engineering Programs
Moty Licht joined AKA in 2008 and brings 18 years of management and technical leadership experience to the company. Most recently Moty held positions at DRS Technologies (US), Tadiran Electronic Systems (Israel), and COMINT Systems where he managed complex and multi-disciplined projects in the defense and commercial arenas. At COMINT Systems he managed the engineering and manufacturing operations of a multi-million dollar business unit. He built a highly-effective team and was responsible for product development, strategic planning, product road maps, staffing, and budgetary concerns. Moty holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Tel-Aviv University in Israel.

Jamie Rakow, Director of Hardware Engineering
Jamie joined AKA in 2005 and has expertise in complex Telecommunications and Networking. He was previously managing a team at Xilinx. His team focused on FPGA based solutions for various Networking and Telecom applications. Jamie holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from US Naval Academy (Annapolis MD), and a Nuclear Engineer Certification.

Leonid Baryudin, Director of Software Engineering
Leonid leads the Software R&D effort at AKA. Previously he was Architect and Team-Lead at Terayon Communications. Before Terayon, he was a Team-Lead at Vernier Networks. Leonid holds a PhD in Physics & Mathematics from St. Petersburg State University in Russia.

Jacob Ben-David, Director of Operations
Jacob handles Operations at AKA including Volume Production, Contract Manufacturing and Assembly. He has extensive experience in Volume Production of complex electronic assemblies and systems. Jacob holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, with emphasis on Materials Science & Structures, from Tel-Aviv University in Israel.

Michael Formica, Founder, Advanced Knowledge Associates
Michael founded Advanced Knowledge Associates in 2000 and has held various executive positions including VP of Sales. Prior to AKA, he held positions in sales and marketing at Cypress Semiconductor. He has extensive experience in the semiconductor industry including sales, marketing and manufacturing. Michael holds a BS in Finance from San Jose State University

Jacob Tal, Chairman of the Board, Galil Motion Control
Dr. Jacob Tal has an extensive experience in the high tech industry. He started his career as a university professor and a consultant, specializing in the motion control industry. He authored several books and over 100 articles on the subject. In 1983, Dr. Tal co-founded Galil Motion Control, the world leading manufacturer of motion controllers which is used by a wide range of industries including the semiconductors, medical and general automation. He served as president and CEO until 2005, when he became the chairman of the board.

Uzi Hadar,  
Uzi Hadar has been an investment banker for nearly 10 years. In his most recent role, Uzi has been responsible for originating and executing capital market and M&A transactions for Jefferies Broadview in a Joint Venture with Leumi & Co. in Israel. Prior to this position, he was with Thomas Weisel Partners Technology Group in San Francisco and Lehman Brothers in New York. Uzi is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from University of Southern California. He also holds an M.B.A from Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia.
